Surgical Nurse Needed - Edinburgh - Dayshifts

We work along side a fantastic private hospital in Edinburgh, and I am looking to speak with nurses who would be interested in doing dayshifts.

Main Responsibilities

• Assess patient health problems and needs, developing and implementing nursing care plans
• Maintain accurate patient medical records
• Administer prescribed medications and injectable treatments
• Instruct and educate patients and their families about health promotion, disease prevention and follow-up care
• Assess and coordinate patient’s discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team
• Monitor, record and report symptoms and changes in patient’s condition

Requirements:

• Registered Nurse with NMC registration
• Minimum 18 months experience in a nursing role
• Nursing Degree
• Experience of working in a surgical ward setting
• Self-motivated and able to work autonomously
• An understanding of the importance of teamwork in delivering the highest standards of care
• Highly organised with excellent clinical judgement
