This opportunity is particularly suited to doctors who have completed Foundation Training (or equivalent), as well as those who have gained additional experience in Emergency Medicine.
Located in the heart of Hobart, the Royal Hobart Hospital is Tasmania's tertiary referral centre, offering excellent clinical exposure, structured education, and training opportunities, together with an enviable lifestyle and access to some of Australia's most spectacular natural surroundings.
- Gain exposure to approximately 75,000 Emergency Department presentations annually
- Structured education and training aligned with Emergency Medicine career pathways

- February 2027 commencement - 12 month contract
- Salary $121,540 per annum + Relocation support
The Role
This role is particularly suited to doctors who have completed Foundation Training (or equivalent) and are seeking further experience in Emergency Medicine within a supportive tertiary hospital environment. Whether you are looking to build on a recent Emergency Medicine placement or further broaden your experience before progressing your career, this position offers excellent clinical exposure and development opportunities.
You will work across all areas of the Emergency Department, including resuscitation, alongside an experienced multidisciplinary team of Emergency Physicians, Registrars, Nursing and Allied Health staff.

Before You Apply
Applicants should ideally have:
- Completed Foundation Training / Internship (or equivalent postgraduate hospital experience)
- Experience working within a healthcare system comparable to Australia, such as the UK, Ireland, or New Zealand
- An interest in developing clinical skills and experience within Emergency Medicine
