THE ROLE
In this role you will provide organisational and clinical leadership ensuring all aspects of clinical and multidisciplinary care are delivered to the highest standards to service users across the organisation. Together with the Associate Nurse Director you will provide professional leadership, supporting clinical and non-clinical staff to bring about service transformation and improved patient care at local and national levels.
You will be responsible for the development and training of staff and that the promotion and protection of health and well-being is paramount, ensuring that the clinical governance agenda underpins the development program and that quality and safety across the organisation is a priority. Additionally, you will guarantee that systems are in place for the induction of doctors entering the organisation, overseeing the education, training and professional development of the clinical workforce.
You will be expected to provide clinical services to patients registered to the practice also. Keeping the board notified of any changes in provision of services will form part of this role.

Ideally you will have prior experience of working at a senior/board level and can provide evidence of continued personal and professional development. Knowledge of National Primary Care agenda, including experience of managing professional issues, revalidation and code of conduct are essential. An ability to build trust, respect and co-operation quickly is essential and experience of working within different sectors of the NHS would be an advantage.

To be considered for this role you must be registered with the GMC and listed on the GP register and registered on the National Medical Performers list.
Experience of working in different sectors within the NHS would be an advantage but not essential
