- Manage acute medical presentations, high-acuity patients, rehabilitation, and palliative care, with opportunities to develop procedural skills.

The Role
Thames Hospital is a welcoming, close-knit secondary care hospital in New Zealand’s beautiful Coromandel region. As a 52-bed hospital, it offers the opportunity to gain broad clinical experience in General Medicine while working closely with experienced consultants, Resident Doctors, and the wider multidisciplinary team. You will be involved in the assessment and management of acute and elective patients, including ward rounds, admissions from the Emergency Department, investigations, referrals, and discharge planning. You will also have opportunities to participate in outpatient clinics, develop procedural and clinical skills, contribute to teaching and quality improvement activities, and support junior colleagues.
