An internationally renowned sports medicine and orthopaedic healthcare organisation in Doha is seeking a highly skilled Consultant Sports Medicine Physician to join its multidisciplinary team.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a world-class centre dedicated to the prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation of sports-related injuries and musculoskeletal conditions. The successful candidate will collaborate with leading specialists in sports medicine, orthopaedics, physiotherapy, radiology, and performance science, providing care to elite athletes as well as the wider active population.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultant-level assessment and management of sports and exercise-related injuries and illnesses.
- Lead multidisciplinary treatment plans for athletes and active individuals.
- Perform musculoskeletal examinations and diagnostic evaluations.
- Deliver evidence-based rehabilitation and return-to-play strategies.
- Participate in injury prevention, health promotion, and athlete wellness programmes.
- Contribute to clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and ongoing service development.
- Support teaching, training, and research activities where applicable.
Requirements
- Medical degree from a recognised institution.
- Specialist qualification in Sports and Exercise Medicine recognised by the relevant licensing authority.
- Current Consultant-level experience in Sports and Exercise Medicine.
- Eligibility for licensure in Qatar.
- Demonstrated expertise in the diagnosis and management of musculoskeletal and sports-related conditions.
- Experience working with elite athletes, professional sports teams, or high-performance environments is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication and multidisciplinary team-working skills.
