  • Salary $78,179 – $105,995 AUD + relocation support up to $15k AUD ( for eligible candidates)

The Role

As part of the North West Maternity Service (NWMS), you will work primarily at the North West Regional Hospital, with outreach to Mersey Community Hospital and surrounding rural hospitals. You will contribute to a service delivering the full scope of maternity care across antenatal clinics, labour and birth, postnatal care, community outreach, and extended care at home.

You will:

  • Deliver safe, high-quality women-centred midwifery care throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postnatal period
  • Work within a 4-bed birthing suite, 20-bed maternity ward, and 8-bed special care nursery
  • Collaborate closely with lactation consultants, physiotherapists, mental health teams, diabetes educators, and wider multidisciplinary colleagues
  • Embrace and contribute to a culture of safety, learning, and shared decision-making
  • Adapt your care approach to meet the needs of diverse women and families
  • Support service improvement, innovation, and positive team culture

About You 

  • Hold Registration with AHPRA ( or eligible)
  • Provides exceptional women-centred care and advocates for positive maternity experiences
  • Fosters collaboration and teamwork, contributing to a supportive clinical environment
  • Demonstrates excellence in practice, with strong clinical acumen
  • Embraces continuous learning, contributing to a positive, growth-oriented team culture
  • Shows initiative, adaptability, and resilience in a dynamic clinical setting
  • Remains calm under pressure and committed to achieving the best outcomes for women and newborns
