The Role
Goulburn Base Hospital is a modern Level 4 regional hospital that relocated into its purpose-built Clinical Services Building in 2021. The hospital boasts a contemporary Emergency Department, Level 4 Intensive Care Unit, modern Operating Theatres and a broad range of acute inpatient services, providing an excellent environment for doctors looking to further develop their surgical experience.
Working alongside experienced Orthopaedic Surgeons and multidisciplinary teams, you will gain valuable exposure to:
- Acute orthopaedic trauma assessment and management
- Elective orthopaedic surgery
- Peri-operative and post-operative patient care
- Fracture management and musculoskeletal presentations
- Ward-based patient management and multidisciplinary discharge planning
- Clinical decision making within a busy acute hospital
