We are seeking application from experienced Nephrologist Consultants who are interested in being part of the locum pool to work in Bermuda!
The tropical island of Bermuda offers a wonderful lifestyle, pink sand beaches, great outdoor lifestyle, relaxed pace of life and easily accessible from the UK and USA.
The unit is a specialised provider of services to Patients with kidney disease, including Patients suffering from chronic kidney failure. A dedicated Clinical Dietitian is assigned to work with those who receive dialysis and the Dialysis Team also treats Patients in the Intensive Care Unit.
There will be opportunities to provide locum coverage when it’s required (minimum 2 weeks at a time), once you are registered with the Bermudian Medical Council you will be able to return to the island as needed.

Clinical & General Responsibilities:
· In liaison with Consultant colleagues and overseas service providers, the Post Holders will be responsible for the clinical management of Patients under their care including nephrology, dialysis and transplant patients.
· Provides care for a cohort of Patients who have haemodialysis in the Dialysis unit. This includes care of the Patients, regular Multidisciplinary Team (MDT) reviews and involvement in the management of the Unit.
· Promote and participate in interdisciplinary clinical rounds and be a clinical resource, leading in the development of best practice clinical pathways.
Qualifications & Experience required:
- US Board Certified or UK / Irish / Canadian / European / Australian equivalent specialist qualification.
- Specialist registration and training in Nephrological Medicine.
- Current registration with Bermuda Medical Council or Eligible to apply.
- Minimum of 5 years experience as a Consultant Nephrologist / Renal Physician.
