Head Medical is delighted to present a prestigious opportunity for a Cosmetic Surgeon to join a renowned private hospital in Dublin. This permanent, full-time role offers an exceptional platform for an experienced surgeon committed to delivering high-quality cosmetic and reconstructive procedures.

As the appointed Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon, you will be integral to a skilled team dedicated to providing outstanding surgical care, working at one of Ireland's leading private plastic and cosmetic surgery providers. You will have access to state-of-the-art facilities, ongoing professional development, and the opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team of highly experienced cosmetic surgeons trusted by many.

This is a high-volume, hands-on surgical role. As a Consultant Cosmetic Surgeon, you will perform a wide range of cosmetic procedures and guide patients throughout their treatment journey. The typical rota includes 3 operating days and 2 consultation days per week, ensuring a strong balance between clinical delivery and patient engagement.

The hospital has recently undergone a major expansion, which allows its capacity to increase to 18 beds, of which two are HDU and a new radiology unit. The hospital has two operating theatres and a dedicated team of experienced surgical, nursing, patient care and administrative staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform a broad range of cosmetic and reconstructive surgeries, including breast procedures, liposuction, abdominoplasty, face lifts, blepharoplasty, and other aesthetic interventions.

  • Conduct comprehensive patient consultations, proposing suitable surgical options aligned with individual needs.

  • Collaborate effectively with a dynamic, supportive team of specialists to ensure the best surgical outcomes.

  • Engage in continuous professional development through funded courses and training opportunities offered by the hospital.

  • Travel between clinic locations for consultations as required, with expenses covered.

Essential Criteria

  • Specialist Registration with the Irish Medical Council in Speciality: Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery or eligibility for Specialist Registration through an EU Specialist qualification

  • UK and EEA candidates with Specialist Registration in Plastic, Reconstructive and Aesthetic Surgery can apply

  • 5 - 10 years' relevant experience post-graduation

  • Proven experience in high-volume cosmetic, reconstructive, and aesthetic surgical procedures.

  • A patient-focused approach combined with a passion for aesthetics and innovative surgical techniques.
