Jersey is a fabulous island, south of the English coast. They have a population of 106,000. Their transport links to all major cities in the U.K. are excellent, and they share the same time zone as the UK.
Their 50 miles of coastline ensure you never have to travel far to find a beach and, when you do, you will find pebbly coves, rocky outcrops and golden, sandy shores and they offer a jaw-dropping amount of activities to enjoy!
Adult Community Mental Health Team (team base at Le Bas Centre in St. Helier; outpatient clinics at La Chasse in St Helier).
The Community Mental Health Team focuses on service users with severe and enduring mental illness. They do not conduct any initial assessments. The consultants and staff grades who work there also provide a general psychiatric out-patient clinic. The team includes: four consultant psychiatrists (two part-time), two whole time equivalent staff grades, a consultant psychologist, a team leader, nurses, occupational therapists, social workers, and health care assistants. The team deliver a range of clinical interventions for service users and their families including case management, Decider Skills, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing. The team also hosts a community support service that offers daytime activities and supported accommodation (The Diner and Clairvale House) to people with severe mental illness. There are wellbeing clinics for people on depot medication and clozapine
Hourly Rate: paid PAYE Via Jersey - you can potentially opt for Jersey's Lower tax rates !
Experience Required:
- Full GMC registration
- Recent experience of work in UK hospital systems (or equivalent, not just shadowing)
- Right to work in the UK
