I have got a lovely job for a Registered Nurse in the Shetland Isles. I'm looking for an RGN with a minimum of two years' post-graduate experience to go for an adventure in Shetland from the 6th of July to the 10th of August. The job may be extended for three to six months.
The post is based at Gilbert Bain Hospital, in Ward One/HDU/DSU. The post-holder is required to become competent in extended nursing skills, for instance, venepuncture, cannulation, ECG and IV Drug Administration. You may also be asked to undertake the role of Link Nurse, eg. Nutritional Link Nurse role or a Tissue Viability Link Nurse role. You will also be expected to cover some on-call requirements.
Travel to the assignment from within the UK will be provided, along with single board accommodation.
