From whale watching, fishing, hiking and mountain biking to surfing, skiing, golf and kayaking, there is something here for every adventurer. The town has four pre-schools, four primary schools and a local high school, making it an appealing option for doctors relocating with their families. The community also has a range of sporting clubs, local services and amenities.
- 8 session in the GP clinic
- One night per week on-call
- Weekend cover approximately 1:5 or 1:6
- Mixture of GP and urgent care with appointment lengths tailored to the doctor's experience
- Opportunities for doctors with an interest in Rural General Practice, Rural Hospital Medicine and emergency care
This purpose-built Community Health facility providing a broad range of primary and rural healthcare services to the local community and rural hospital medicine. The practice has a strong multidisciplinary team comprising of 6 GPs, 5 practice/district nurses, 2 Primary Care Assistants, a Mental Health Nurse, Social Worker, Health Coach, and is supported by reception, senior administration and management staff. There are 10 consultation and treatment rooms, plus three interview rooms used by the Public Health and Wellbeing team. This is a genuinely varied rural role, with GPs providing a mixture of general practice, urgent care and with minor surgery and appropriate procedures performed onsite.
