Work alongside a growing team of 5 Medical Oncologists, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Oncology MOSS, with support across inpatient and outpatient care

Gain hands-on experience in new patient assessments, on-treatment reviews, acute management, and inpatient oversight of patients on anti-cancer therapies

Opportunities to run clinics at sub-satellite sites in Kaitaia and the Bay of Islands, participate in hospice visits, research projects, and teaching sessions

Enjoy a 12-month contract with salary $106,672 – $133,842 NZD (depending on experience), May and August 2026 commencement
The Hospital
Whangārei Hospital is a 246-bed regional facility serving a population of ~194,000, including a large rural catchment. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team providing secondary care services across the region. Work alongside a growing team of 5 Medical Oncologists, Nurse Practitioner, Clinical Nurse Specialist, and Oncology MOSS, with support across inpatient and outpatient care
The role includes active supervision, teaching, clinical audits, journal clubs, and videoconference lectures, giving you a well-rounded professional experience.
