Head Medical is seeking Anaesthetics and ICU trainees for unique opportunities at Wellington Regional Hospital. Balance critical care experience with professional development in simulation, trauma, research, or echocardiography.
- Supported by senior ICU specialists in a consultant-led service
- Ideal for exam prep and self-directed development
- Exposure to ICU retrieval and post-operative cardiac/neuro care
- Involvement in critical care research and national ICU teaching
- Start dates: February or August 2026 | 12-month fixed-term
The Role
You’ll contribute to a major tertiary ICU service, participate in the flight retrieval service, and develop your skills in one of four focus areas:
- Simulation & Education
- Trauma
- Research
- Echocardiography
A minimum of 12 months' anaesthesia/airway experience is essential.
