The Role
Gladstone Hospital is an 83-bed regional hospital providing a comprehensive range of medical and surgical services to the local community. As part of a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will manage a diverse caseload across General Medicine, Emergency and Surgical specialties while enjoying increasing clinical responsibility under the guidance of experienced Senior Medical Staff.
This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your clinical experience in a busy regional setting, where you will be involved in assessing and managing patients, developing management plans, supervising junior colleagues, and participating in teaching, quality improvement and ongoing professional development. With approximately 500 births and 1,600 surgical procedures performed each year, alongside a busy Emergency Department, Surgical Outpatients, High Dependency Unit and mixed Medical and Surgical Ward, you will gain exposure to a varied and rewarding case mix that will further develop your confidence, clinical decision-making, and leadership skills.
