Head Medical is seeking motivated Emergency Medicine Doctors who have completed Core Training ACCS -EM or Trust Grade doctors (PGY4/ PGY5 equivalent) to join the dynamic Emergency Department at Bundaberg Hospital. The Role
Bundaberg Hospital is part of the Wide Bay Hospital and Health Service, delivering public hospital care, emergency services, and specialist outpatient clinics to a population covering Bundaberg, North Burnett, Fraser Coast, and parts of Gladstone.
Duties Include:
- Provide high-quality acute emergency care across inpatient, outpatient, and emergency settings.
- Participate in daily ward rounds, emergency cases, clinics, and after-hours shifts, including night shifts and relief coverage for regional facilities.
- Supervise, assess, and mentor RMO’S, interns, and medical students.
- Contribute to clinical governance, audit, research, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams and support patient-centred care across the hospital.
Essential Requirements:
- Eligible for Medical registration with AHPRA via the Competent Authority Pathway
- Minimum 12 months Emergency Medicine experience (post foundation training)
- Ability to work shifts, including after-hours, night, and on-call duties.
