Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners

About the Role
We are seeking experienced Orthopaedic Scrub Practitioners to support a range of orthopaedic waiting list initiatives across the East of Scotland.
We already have a strong and experienced core team in place and are looking to expand our pool of skilled practitioners to provide additional support, particularly for midweek waiting list sessions. This is an excellent opportunity to join a professional theatre team and play a key role in helping reduce patient waiting times while supporting high-quality surgical care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide skilled scrub support for orthopaedic procedures, including major joint surgery.
- Maintain a safe and sterile operating environment at all times.
- Prepare, handle and account for surgical instruments and equipment appropriately.
- Work collaboratively with surgeons, anaesthetists and multidisciplinary theatre teams.
- Adhere to all clinical governance, infection prevention and health and safety policies.
- Contribute to the delivery of efficient and effective theatre lists.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years' post-registration operating theatre experience.
- Demonstrable experience scrubbing for major joint orthopaedic procedures.
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
- Right to work in the UK.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexible and adaptable approach to working.
