Looking for a GP role where you can actually take the time to listen, assess and make a difference?

This could be the change you’ve been looking for.
We are seeking an experienced GP to join a state-of-the-art private medical facility in Central Glasgow, providing comprehensive health assessments to corporate clients and their employees.
This is not a traditional GP role. There are no 10-minute appointments, no crowded waiting room and no relentless daily appointment lists.
Instead, you’ll see approximately 5–8 patients per day, with appointments ranging from 30 to 90 minutes. This gives you the time to conduct a genuinely thorough assessment, understand the individual behind the symptoms and have meaningful conversations around their health, lifestyle and long-term wellbeing.
A different kind of GP medicine
The focus is firmly on prevention rather than simply treating illness.
You’ll carry out comprehensive health assessments, identify potential health risks and work collaboratively with patients to help them make positive, sustainable changes.
You might be discussing cardiovascular risk, lifestyle, exercise, nutrition, stress, sleep, work and home life — giving patients the time and support they need to take control of their health.
Where further investigation is required, you’ll have access to rapid onward referral through the wider private healthcare network, often enabling patients to access the appropriate specialist services within days.
You’ll also be part of an established multidisciplinary team including GPs, physiotherapists, psychologists, nurses, INPs, healthcare assistants and dedicated administrative support.
What does the working day look like?
Monday–Thursday | 8:00am–5:00pm
- Approximately 5–8 patients per day
- 30–90 minute appointments
- One-hour lunch break
- One hour of protected administration time every day
- Appointments scheduled up to 8 weeks in advance
- No routine GP appointments
- Dedicated support from the Patient Navigation Team
- A structured, predictable working environment
It’s a role designed to give you time to practise medicine properly.
What we're looking for
You’ll need to be a qualified GP and confident undertaking the practical elements of a comprehensive health assessment, including:
- Cervical smear tests
- Phlebotomy
- Vaccinations
- Prostate examinations
- ECGs
You’ll also need to be highly IT literate and comfortable using dictation software to produce detailed, high-quality patient reports.
Most importantly, we’re looking for someone who enjoys talking to patients, coaching and influencing positive behaviour change, and who genuinely believes in preventative healthcare.
Previous experience in private healthcare, executive health screening, occupational health, corporate health or lifestyle medicine would be advantageous, although we would also welcome experienced GPs looking for a more rewarding alternative to traditional general practice.
What's on offer?
£79,200 per annum for a 4-day working week
Equivalent to £99,000 on a full-time basis, alongside:
- 4 days' paid study leave
- Paid indemnity
- Full benefits package
- A modern, state-of-the-art clinical environment
- Multidisciplinary team working
- Excellent clinical and administrative support
- Significantly more time with each patient
- A genuinely preventative approach to medicine
- A predictable Monday–Thursday working pattern
Perhaps it's time for a different kind of GP career.
If you’re an experienced GP who enjoys longer consultations, preventative medicine and meaningful patient conversations, and you’re ready to move away from the pace and pressure of traditional general practice, we’d love to hear from you.
This is an opportunity to spend more time with fewer patients, focus on the whole person rather than the next appointment, and make a real difference to long-term health and wellbeing.
