Care is delivered to catchment population of approx. 340k.
Settings include acute inpatient and continuing care, rehab, custodial, and community.

Job scope.
Working with colleagues and all stake holders to manage, manage care of all patients allocated through the forensic service
Supervision and training of doctors in training and other medical staff.
Participate in oncall roster.
Research.
Contribute to effificient running of unit (budget, time etc)
Selection criteria.
FRANZCP or completion of specialist Forensic training in UK, Ireland, NZ, Canada or USA.
Minimum of 3 years work experience as a Consultant/Specialist Psychiatrist in Forensic Psychiatry.
Good experience in Forensic psychiatry , especially criminal forensic psychiatry.
High levels of empathy.
Strong communication skills - can manage at all levels and with all stakeholders.
