Clinical Nurse Specialist in Sexual Health

We have an opportunity for qualified Clinical Nurse Specialists in Sexual Health, at the Primary Care Centre. The appointment is for a 2-year period with a probation period of 12 months.

Successful candidates will require the following:

• need a minimum of two years’ specialist experience to join our clinical team.  
•  be dual trained in both GU Medicine and Contraception
• It is anticipated that applicants will be able to demonstrate evidence of undertaking work relating to contraception counselling and provision, pregnancy testing and treatment of sexually transmitted infections including education and counselling sessions.
• Applicants must have evidential experience of working in both the community and hospital setting with a proven clinical record of continuous professional development within this specialist field of Sexual Health.
• The candidate must also be in possession of post-registration qualifications in Sexual Health and a non-medical prescribing qualification.
• excellent communication skills and to work as an autonomous practitioner giving advice on all sexual health issues including performing microscopy, disease management and symptom control, outreach and education.
