The Hospital client is seeking two dedicated Anaesthesiologists to join a close-knit, highly collaborative medical team. THE OPPORTUNITY. The facility is a progressive, state-of-the-art acute care facility equipped with modern surgical suites. As an Anaesthesiologist here, you will provide comprehensive perioperative services across a diverse case mix, including general surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics/gynaecology, and urology. You will practice in an environment that prioritizes cutting-edge clinical precision while maintaining a deeply compassionate, human-centric approach to patient care.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES.
- Provide expert pre-operative assessments, intra-operative anaesthetic administration, and post-operative care.
- Collaborate seamlessly with surgeons, nursing staff, and allied health teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes and safety.
- Support the critical care, labour and delivery, and emergency response teams when acute anaesthesia intervention is required.
- Participate equitably in the departmental on-call schedule to maintain reliable, 24/7 regional surgical coverage.
PROFESSIONAL PROFILE (COMPETENCIES).
Licensure: Must be eligible for independent registration with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario (CPSO).
Applicants must hold either:
- FRCPC in Anaesthesia, American Board Certification in Anaesthesia, or the Certificate of Completion of Specialist Training (CCT / CCST) from the UK
Specialization: Certificate or eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (FRCPC) in Anaesthesiology.
Clinical Skills: Advanced competency in regional anaesthesia techniques, acute pain management, and complex airway care.
Attributes: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a proven ability to build positive connections within a multidisciplinary team environment.
