Review of 2015

Review of 2015

As 2016 starts we wanted to take a look back over the previous year to celebrate some of our successes in 2015. We would like to express our thanks to everyone who we have worked with this year for making this year such a fantastic one.

Events

Last year saw the beginning of our Making the Move events. We felt that allowing people to come together to speak to our expert recruiters was a really good way of providing useful information to those who were beginning to consider moving overseas. We have held events in Edinburgh, London, Birmingham and Manchester and we have an event in Dublin coming up on Saturday 23 January with more planned throughout the year. We’ve received excellent feedback from those who attended which we have used to continue to improve our events and make them a great source of information for everyone.

We also attend a variety of external events and conferences throughout the year.

500 Doctors

In July we reached a company milestone. Dr Moon, a GP from London, started work in Sydney, Australia becoming the 500th Doctor we have assisted make the move overseas.

Case Studies

September saw the publication of our very first Case Study. The Case Studies are written by Doctors who have made the move internationally and taken the time to write about their experiences so that others can get an insight into the process of relocating and find out what life and work is like overseas.

Awards

We were delighted to announce that we, as part of Head Resourcing Ltd, were awarded the Investors in People Gold Accreditation. This makes us one of only four companies in the industry who have achieved this award in Scotland. The award demonstrates our commitment to excellence in our support and development of our staff.

Pushed or Pulled?

Towards the end of the year there was a flurry of press following a job alert sent out by our recruiter Alasdair Spinner. It was an interesting opportunity to discuss the many and varied reasons which prompt individuals to decide to make the move.

Charity

The last three months saw us focus on several charities which everyone in the company has been involved in contributing to, whether by organising an event or collection, or taking part and running, baking, collecting food, gifts, or donating. We’re very proud of our charitable work and everyone here who takes such an active role in making a difference!

Donations for charity

If you would like some more information on the regions we recruit to, why not check out our fabulous Doctor's Guides, which cover everything you could ever need to know about living and working overseas.

Alternatively if you'd like to talk to us about any of the exciting opportunities we have available in 2016 please do not hesitate to get in touch, we'd love to hear from you.
