From the start of the process of getting a job in NZ, the completion of the many documents and the timely solving of urgent problems along the way, we are sure we would not have managed to get where we are now without you and your colleagues' expert assistance and reassurance.
Having finished my first month, I am pleased to say that the warm welcome and support of the Practice Team in NZ has made the transition from UK to NZ a very smooth and agreeable process.
Of course, things are done a bit differently in NZ, but on the whole the workload as a GP is very manageable and the different IT system is eventually understood.
We have been invited by so many people to play golf, tennis, attend cultural events and simply enjoy dinner and a glass of wine. There has been plenty of opportunity to enjoy the beautiful countryside.
Quality of life is valued in NZ and although where we are is very quiet, we knew that before we arrived, and it is exactly what we wanted. Other parts of NZ (North Island) are livelier and everyone needs to do their homework and make sure they know what to expect.
