I was working as an NHS Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In January 2014 I made initial contact with Head Medical. I was looking for jobs in UAE, as I quite fancied a life style change, and a break from the British weather! My first contact was Carol Mercer. I found her very pleasant and approachable. In March 2014 I was offered a job in Dubai through Head Medical, and had a telephone interview. Following the interview the company in Dubai invited me over, so I could visit the organisation and meet key personnel. I flew to Dubai in March 2014 for a couple of nights. Following my trip I accepted the job offer, and thereafter started the process of registration with Dubai Health Authority. This is when I was introduced to Carol Horan. I call her Carol 2, and Carol Mercer is Carol 1. This is by no means a reflection of their seniority. It is quite simply the order in which I was introduced to the two Carol's!!
The process of registration with DHA was long, convoluted and demanding. Once I had the registration approved in principle, I had to travel to Dubai in December 2014 for an assessment interview. After I received the registration certificate, I handed in my notice and moved to Dubai in April 2015.
I have nothing but praise for the professional manner in which the entire process was handled by Head Medical. I found both Carol M and Carol H very knowledgeable, helpful, approachable and friendly. The team at Head Medical have a lot of experience assisting Doctors who are looking to move abroad for work, and I would recommend this organisation to anyone considering such a move.
I have never met either of the two Carol's but they promise to look me up when they next visit Dubai. I look forward to that!
