Working in in Pre-Hospital and Retrieval Medicine offers a huge variety of challenges quite different from regular hospital duties. You are part of a highly mobile Intensive Care Team attending serious road traffic accidents, critically ill patients being transferred to specialist care and various emergency medical conditions.
Leaving Sweden with a family of four for a six month job in Northern Queensland seems like a huge challenge, especially since prior to working as a doctor in Australia a fair amount of paperwork must be dealt with, however, this entire process was made so much easier due to the invaluable efforts from Sharon and Claire at Head Medical.
