Full time, 12-month fixed term position

The Opportunity

The Urology Department at Te Toka Tumai is seeking a qualified Urologist with a generalist skillset to join their team. Ideally applicants would have participated in a post fellowship training or had a minimum of 12 months experience working as a consultant surgeon in the general urology.

Applicants should be aware that Te Toka Tumai does not currently have a robotics programme so oncology procedures are done either laparoscopically or as open procedures.

The successful applicant will be based at Auckland`s main Hospital and Clinical Centre, where elective surgery for the population of Auckland City is performed, as well as participating in the acute on call roster for the Auckland Region. Outpatient clinics and day surgery are conducted at the Clinical Centre. An interest in clinical research would be desirable.

Important Skills

To be eligible for this role, you must hold or be eligible for vocational registration as a specialist Urologist with the Medical Council of New Zealand You must have an excellent work record, an ability to integrate as part of a team, and a desire for public service.
