Scrub Practitioner (RN/ODP)
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Scrub Practitioner (Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner) to join a friendly and supportive theatre team within a well-established independent hospital in the West of Scotland.
This is a full-time, fixed-term opportunity available immediately through to Christmas, supporting a varied elective surgical programme. The successful candidate will be part of a collaborative multidisciplinary team committed to delivering high-quality patient care and excellent clinical outcomes.
Key Requirements
- Registered Nurse (NMC) or Operating Department Practitioner (HCPC)
- Minimum of 2 years' post-registration theatre experience
- Current scrub experience within an acute surgical environment
- Ideally experienced in Orthopaedics, General Surgery and Ophthalmology
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- A professional, patient-focused approach
- Eligible to work in the UK
The Role
You will provide high-quality scrub support across a range of elective surgical procedures, working closely with surgeons, anaesthetists and theatre colleagues. You'll help maintain safe clinical practice, support efficient theatre operations and contribute to an excellent patient experience throughout the perioperative pathway.
Working Pattern
This is a full-time position with flexible working across Monday to Friday, with occasional Saturday shifts as required. Rotas are planned several weeks in advance, providing excellent visibility of working patterns and helping to support work-life balance.
