Locum Scrub, Recovery RN/ODPs and Theatre HCSWs - Scotland
Our team is expanding! We are looking for dedicated and skilled Scrub, Recovery Registered Nurses, Operating Department Practitioners (ODPs), and Theatre Healthcare Support Workers (HCSWs) based in Scotland. At this point, I am afraid we don't need anaesthetics cover as we already have sufficient Anaesthetics Practitioners on our database.
Overview
It has been a difficult two years for agency staff in Scotland, however things are picking up with our Theatre Division, and we are now in a position to recruit new practitioners for our team. The scrub skills we specifically require are Major Orthopaedics, ENT, Urology, Gynae, General, Trauma, Cosmetics/Plastics.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation and management of the operating theatre.
- Provide direct patient care in scrub and recovery settings.
- Support surgical teams with instruments and supplies during procedures.
- Monitor patients’ conditions pre, during, and post-operation.
- Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations and infection control protocols.
- Work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimum patient outcomes.
Candidate Requirements
- Registered Nurse with a background in Theatre.
- Experience in scrub or recovery roles is essential.
- Eligibility to work in the UK.
- Relevant qualifications and current NMC registration for RNs or HCPC for ODPs.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
