Our client who runs a very respected medical clinic in Hanoi, is now looking for a Specialist Rheumatologist to join their team. Many foreign visitors make use of their services and their doctors speak English as one of their languages.  

The Hanoi Clinic has a rare opportunity for a Rheumatologist with an Internal Medicine background.

The position is available to those who possess a minimum of five years of professional experience as specialists, and exhibit native-level proficiency in English, or alternatively, are French doctors with exceptional English language skills.

It is very important that the Rheumatologist maintain his/her skills to check patients for internal medicine diseases because the clinic expects him/her to work with a variety of patients.

Position Overview:

We are seeking an experienced Rheumatologist with a strong background in internal medicine to join our clinic as a Rheumatologist + internal medicine specialist. As a Rheumatologist, you will diagnose and treat patients with various rheumatic diseases, while providing high-quality, comprehensive care. 

Responsibilities:

Clinical Responsibilities:

1. Diagnose and treat patients with diverse Rheumatic conditions and internal medicine diseases, including arthritis, lupus, fibromyalgia, gout, and osteoporosis, among others.

2. Conduct thorough medical examinations, review medical histories, order and interpret diagnostic tests, and analyze patient symptoms.

3. Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating the latest research, medications, therapies, and interventions to optimize patients' well-being.

4. Perform various rheumatologic procedures, including joint aspirations, injections, and synovial fluid analysis.

5. Monitor patients' progress, evaluate treatment effectiveness, and make adjustments as required.

6. Educate patients and their families on disease management, lifestyle modifications, and preventive measures.

7. Collaborate and consult with multidisciplinary teams, including primary care physicians, radiologists, physical therapists, and orthopaedic surgeons, to ensure comprehensive care for patients.

8. Stay up-to-date with advancements in the field of rheumatology by attending conferences,  participating in specialized training, and engaging in continuing medical education.

Qualifications:

1. Medical degree (MD or MBBS etc) from an accredited institution.

2  Five years of experience as a Specialist / Consultant in a hospital.

3. Board certification in Rheumatology and Internal Medicine.

4. Valid medical license and ability to practice as a Rheumatologist and Internist within the jurisdiction.

5. Demonstrated clinical expertise in diagnosing and treating various rheumatic diseases.

6. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact effectively with patients, staff, and stakeholders.

7. A commitment to staying updated with developments in rheumatology and internal medicine and cultivating a culture of continuous learning.

8. Integrity, compassion, and empathy while delivering patient-centred care.

9. Adherence to ethical principles as outlined by the medical profession and regulatory bodies.

Benefits

The salary will be between around $7,500 USD net / after tax per month (this is a very high income in Vietnam and with very low cost of living) with the following benefits:

  • Malpractice insurance
  • 14 days of annual leave + 11 days of Vietnamese national holidays
  • Annual return flight ticket back home after 1 year of work
  • Housing arrangement: assistance with finding housing in Hanoi
  • 10 days of temporary accommodation when arriving in Hanoi

If candidates are not native English speakers, they will need to pass a Medical English test, which is given a few times a year in Hanoi.
