Head Medical is seeking Resident Physicians for Ophthalmology opportunities, located in Singapore. These roles offer structured exposure across medical and surgical eye care in a consultant-supervised environment.
- Exposure to a broad range of ophthalmic conditions in a busy tertiary setting
- Involvement in outpatient ophthalmology clinics and specialist assessments
- Supervised participation in minor ophthalmic procedures (where appropriate)
- Inpatient and peri-operative patient management
- Structured teaching, audit, and clinical development opportunities
- Salary SGD $80,000 – $120,000 per annum (commensurate with experience)
The Role

You will be based in a modern, high-volume tertiary services supported by strong multidisciplinary teams and academic partnerships.

In this Ophthalmology role, you will be involved in:
- Outpatient ophthalmology clinics
- Pre- and post-operative patient care
- Support of ophthalmic procedures (as appropriate to level)
- Ward-based clinical care
- On-call duties (where applicable)
- Teaching, audit, and departmental education activities

Requirements
These roles are best suited to doctors currently working at middle-grade level or above, looking to gain structured, supervised experience within a high-volume tertiary healthcare system in Singapore.
To be considered, candidates must:
- Be eligible for Conditional Registration with the Singapore Medical Council
- Hold a primary medical qualification recognised by the Singapore Medical Council (Second Schedule)
- Have a minimum of 3 years’ relevant clinical experience in Ophthalmology or related specialties
- Be in active clinical practice over the past 3 years
- Meet English language proficiency requirements (where applicable)
