Who is this suited to?
This opportunity would suit doctors who have at least two years of Emergency Medicine experience following completion of Foundation training and are looking to further develop their Emergency Medicine career. It would be particularly well suited to doctors seeking to build on their existing ED experience, gain further exposure within a supportive regional department and progress towards a future career in Emergency Medicine.
The Role
The Emergency Department is an accredited training site, seeing a broad range of adult and mixed Emergency Medicine presentations. The department includes 21 acute bays, two resuscitation bays, four high-dependency bays, 12 consult bays and a 14-bed Short Stay Unit.
Working alongside experienced Emergency Medicine specialists, you will develop your clinical decision-making and procedural skills while managing a varied caseload. There are also opportunities to develop your skills in point-of-care ultrasound.
The role includes participation in the after-hours roster, clinical teaching and ongoing professional development, with a strong emphasis on teamwork, education and progression within Emergency Medicine.
