Whangārei is the largest hospital in Northland, providing secondary care services for the region supported by three district hospitals in Kaitaia; Bay of Islands and Dargaville. Northland covers an area of 12,600 square kilometres and has a growing population of more than 190,000.

To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand in a Internal Medicine vocational scope of practice. Specialists from the UK, U.S, Canada, Australasia and some parts of Europe and Scandinavia will be eligible to apply.
You will also possess FRACP or an equivalent qualification. Trainees within a few months of completing training are welcome to express an interest.
