Leading the way in the delivery of Rehabilitation Services the Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation Service is committed to a clinical-managerial partnership that ensures effectiveness and drives service development. Our team provides specialist clinical consultancy and professional support to individuals across their rehabilitation journey. This spans acute and sub-acute inpatient and outpatient rehabilitation and includes outreach services as well.
We are looking for a Rehabilitation Consultant (part time) to join our dedicated multi-disciplinary team. It is essential that you have highly developed interpersonal and communication skills as you will be in frequent contact with patients, their families/whaanau and caregivers, medical practitioners, community and primary health nurses as well as allied health professionals. The successful candidate will also contribute to on call rosters for the Auckland Spinal service and support SMO leave cover requirements with General Rehabilitation services at the hospital and Auckland Spinal Rehabilitation unit as required.
Candidates must have a specialist medical qualification in Rehabilitation Medicine and be eligible for registration by the Medical Council of New Zealand.
