Registered Nurses –Surgical Wards
We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Agency Registered Nurses (RN) to join our team. You will be part of our team of multi-disciplinary medical staff, delivering the highest standard of patient care, on our Surgical Wards. The successful candidate should have experience in Registered Nursing, ideally from a General Surgical background.
Responsibilities
- Perform complete patient assessment by taking patient medical histories, following up with doctors on existing conditions and any additional tests or treatments required, and providing appropriate nursing treatment.
- Advise, monitor and evaluate patient care plans and critical path.
- Formulate and implement patient care plans, which may include pharmacological treatments, dressing changes and other nursing interventions.
- Carry out daily patient status rounds.
- Participate in patient care conferences.
- Provide a safe environment for patients and staff in accordance with current legislation.
- Support nursing staff in performing patient care activities, such as bed baths and dressing changes, as needed.
- Administer medication per doctors’ orders.
- Communicate clearly with patients and medical staff regarding their conditions and treatments.
- Participate in educational activities to further training and development.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with current NMC registration.
- Eligible to work in the UK.
- 18 months clinical nursing experience including experience in General Surgical.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Computer literate.
