The Role
Prepares for and assists during various diagnostic procedures in Radiology, CAT scan, MRI, Nuclear Medicine, Ultrasound, Mammography, Bone Density and Cardiac Diagnostic Unit
Provides care and monitoring pre, peri and post procedure in the prep/recovery unit. This will include some management of sedated/anaesthetised patients post procedure.
Understands the pharmacology of medications administered in DI and CDU and recognizes special considerations related to drugs and contrast media procedures
Must have –
- Five years (5) of experience as a Registered Nurse
- Two years’ experience as an Emergency/Critical Care Nurse
- Three (3) additional years in Post Anaesthesia Care Unit (PACU)
- Two (2) years of experience in Intravenous (IV) Therapy
- Required certifications: Critical Care Certificate, BLS, ACLS, IV therapy
- Preferred certifications: PALS, PACU or, Certified Radiology Nurse (CRN)
- Excellent English language skills (reading, writing, listening, speaking).
