This new regional hospital in Victoria, Australia requires a Consultant Psychiatrist to provide essential services to a diverse and sizeable population.

The Role
The hospital is supported by junior medical staff who are either employed directly or are on rotation from major teaching hospitals in Melbourne. Reporting to the Clinical Director for Mental Health, you will specifically provide critical services relating to mental health: Aged Persons, Adult, Child and Youth, Crisis Assessment & Treatment. Key stakeholder to manage will include Carers and Indigenous Liaison officers as well as a 12 bed Inpatient Unit.
Your role will be provide leadership within Mental Health Services as well as collaborating with and supporting the management group to ensure the strategic and operational goals of the hospital are achieved.

The area has a rich agricultural tradition and is arguably the centre of Australia’s Slow Food movement through the first class restaurants that populate the City and region. The history of irrigation has also naturally led to a deep appreciation of wine making and it is through food and wine that the city and its surrounds have made its name.
