We are seeking a skilled Phlebotomist with a strong background in medical sciences and laboratory work. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 3 years of laboratory experience, including at least 1 year of phlebotomy experience.
In this role you will be performing phlebotomy procedures, Collect, document, process, and report specimens, including those referred to other labs. Maintain and calibrate laboratory analysers and equipment and reviewing and management of quality control results.
You will also be assisting with accreditation, proficiency testing, and QA/QC, support and provide support to management in implementing new lab processes.
Qualifications and experience required.
- Degree in Medical Sciences
- 3+ years of laboratory experience
- 1+ year of phlebotomy experience
- ASCP, AAB, AIMS, or equivalent board certification
- Must be registered with the Bermuda Health Council as an MT (Medical Technologist)
- Proficient in phlebotomy, areas of chemistry, heamatology, urinalysis, and point-of care-testing
- CPR trained
- Sound knowledge of lab testing and quality control policies and procedures
- Demonstrated knowledge regarding laboratory accreditation requirements and HIPAA
