Paediatric Nurses needed in Glasgow
We are looking for experienced Agency Paediatric Nurses to join Head Medical and support our reputable clients in Glasgow. You will provide excellent nursing and healthcare to infants and children. You will be responsible for monitoring and administering medications, taking vital signs, providing wound care and ensuring the smooth running of the paediatric ward.
You will have excellent communication skills and be comfortable working with children of all ages. We expect you to be patient with families and have the ability to build good working relationships. A flexible approach to work is essential and a willingness to work varying shift patterns.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out clinical tasks for patients such a dressing wounds, catheter changes and setting up intravenous (IV) infusions.
- Take vital signs of child patients and record relevant information.
- Provide appropriate clinical advice to patients and their families.
- Appointments management and administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the paediatric ward.
- Awareness of the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Deprivation of Liberties Safeguards.
- Ensure accurate documentations of all patient treatments and procedures.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Minimum of 18 months experience as an RCN
- Have a valid NMC registration with no restrictions.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Great organisational, administrative and interpersonal skills.
- Flexible and able to work under pressure and vary shift patterns as needed.
- Computer literate.
