GENERAL PAEDIATRICIAN

Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.  We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki.  We are  one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.

About the Role

The Paediatric Department at Whakatāne are sought to recruit a General Pediatrician to complement our team. Whakatāne is in the main urban area and has a secondary paediatric unit, 4 bed neonatal unit and provides outpatient services in Whakatāne.

This is a permanent full-time position (however, part-time will be considered) and will participate in equal share of after hours calls with four other colleagues, for general Paediatrics and level two neonates.

About You

You will be joining a group of highly motivated multi-skilled General Paediatricians who are committed to working collegially with each other and with a multidisciplinary Child Health Team to provide high quality, responsive medical care for children.

Applicants should hold FRACP or equivalent and be skilled in General Paediatrics.
