The longevity hub offers a first access to their clinic method in selected urban locations, combining pioneering longevity, wellbeing and aesthetic technologies and solutions, in an exclusive environment. Their guests can regularly engage with experts to build hyper-personalized health routines to unlock longevity and lasting wellbeing.
Our client is now looking for a Medical Director for their new hub in Beijing which is due to open in July this year. They will have 40 employees, 10 will be medical, catering for around 100-150 customer members.
Their model is focused on customers taking a 1 year membership, which gives them access to the new clinic in Beijing and 1 week in Switzerland at their other facility.
Requirements and Job Summary:
You will be a key ambassador of the longevity hub, who offers the most advanced Longevity solutions, within a luxury environment. Our commitment is to help and inspire our guests to live a healthier, longer, and fuller life.
The scheduled shifts are arranged according to the operations need and workload.
As a leader, you play a key role in the day-to-day operations of the Longevity Hub.
Create and maintain a culture of care and service excellence among our team members. Develop and implement Longevity Hub's operational goals, policies and procedures. Additionally, you are responsible for leading the efficient and effective Medical operations, including short and long-term strategic planning.
Key Duties
Medical Practice:
- Establish Medical Protocols.
- Fully understand the internal processes of all departments.
- Participate in the recruitment of new physicians and other medical team members.
- Consult with guests to understand their symptoms and health concerns.
- Diagnose the guests, analyze the results of the medical check-ups and ensures a global management of the health problems.
- Prescribe or administer medication, therapy, and other specialized medical care to treat and prevent.
- Supervise the execution of the consultations, tests, treatments included in the membership.
- Explain procedures and discuss test results or prescribed treatments to guests.
- Provide health and wellness advice to guests, including diet, physical activity, hygiene, and disease prevention.
- Maintain detailed notes of appointments with guests, including comments, tests, test results and treatments prescribed, taking case that all the medical records are updated
- Provide support and advice to guests receiving long-term treatment plans.
- Prepare official health documents or records, when necessary.
- Conduct research into the testing and development of new treatment methods, procedures and suppliers
- Master the main applications using new technologies for anti-aging and regenerative medicine such as ozone therapy, IV drips, toxicity evaluation test and detoxification plan.
- Find and implement innovative strategies to enhance communication between doctors' and guests, facilitating streamlined processes.
- Organize weekly meetings with the medical team, involving the responsible of other pillars
- Monthly reporting to the Global Medical Director
Operational Practice:
- Accomplish all the duties related to the establishment of medical licence and its related duties of continuous monitoring and updating
- Implement the compliance procedures, as requested by corporate
- Establish Longevity Protocols at local level (LOP Local Operating Procedures) for Medical, Nutrition, Movement, Wellbeing, jointly with corporate and local pillar lead
- Keep updated the KMS for what regards Local Operating Procedures and compliance documents
- Monitor the procedures execution, following the quality corporate standards
- Collect procedures improvement points and address learning curve with pillar hub's teams
- Secure the application of infection control, and medical waste, monitoring nurse activity
- Monitor the stock of medical consumables and activate the procurement process
- Assure the continuous update of the Client Health Record and related incident reporting, communicating with local authorities if needed
- Manage the exchange of Client Health Record between the hub and other resort, as defined by the Data Transfer agreement
- Oversee the guest journey pathway organization, from appointments with guests (including comments, test results and treatments prescribed) to the follow up plan foreseen by membership programme
- Implement and monitor the services with external providers to enhance the hub treatments (lab tests, cognitive exercises)
- Monitor the maintenance plans of longevity equipment, secure the maintenance intervention and activate the support functions as defined by contracts with external suppliers new technologies for anti-aging and regenerative medicine such as ozone therapy, IV drips, wellbeing & movement technologies, etc.
- Organize weekly meetings with medical director and longevity coaches to assess the proper execution of guest journey all along the whole treatment value chain
- Monthly reporting to hub General manager, Medical Director and Corporate Medical & Longevity operational excellence Director
Skills, Experience & Requirements:
- License eligible in the practicing jurisdiction.
- Doctor of medicine degree (MD) & successful completion of a Specialist Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Certification Examination or recognition from a leading university according to the OS World University medicine Rankings and ideally certification in Anti-aging and regenerative medicine.
- Passion for both people and science with at least 5 years of experience working as an lnternist / Family Medicine and ideally with experience in longevity medicine.
- Able to prescribe and administer medications, immunizations, and other non-surgical treatments.
- Experience in nutrition/clinical research and track record of scientific publications in the field of nutrition science.
- Passionate about preventive medicine and longevity, connected to the new technologies in this field.
- Strong ability to work in a multi-cultural team.
- Confident appearance, self-driven individual with a positive mind-set.
- Knowledge and expertise in aging research, skills to evaluate the validity of biomarkers of aging and other biological age testing systems.
- Knowledge of the available longevity therapies to tackle aging and age-related diseases, which are mostly based on senescence-related processes in the organisms.
- Ability to travel to Switzerland and other locations for training purposes.
- Ability to go through the onboarding and regular refresh training programs.
PLEASE NOTE:
- It is mandatory to understand the Chinese culture – Experience of the Chinese market is essential, so either must already be living and working in China, or have extensive experience working in China already. Relationships are key.
- The Medical Director will be running the clinic but also will provide some hands on clinical work to members / patients.
- Must have experience of a clinic setting, be that general practice or rehab, longevity or aesthetics. Internal medicine specialists or GP / Family Medicine backgrounds are the most relevant, experience of continuity of care is vital.
- Any direct experience of preventative medicine or regenerative medicine would be a major plus, such as stem cells.
