Locum Biomedical Scientist for a 1 year contract starting ASAP

Salary Range is £27,731 - £33,127 per annum depending on experience.
HCPC Registration and Eligibility to work in the UK now required
The role will be to complete complex clinical tests and investigations associated with diagnosis and monitoring.
Main Duties:
- To evaluate, authorise and interpret clinical test results
- To advise on sample requirements, reference ranges and analytical limitations. To troubleshoot, check and repair equipment where appropriate.
- To notify senior laboratory staff/medical staff/healthcare professionals when specimen integrity is in question or the accuracy of an analytical result is compromised.
- To bring to the attention of senior laboratory staff, medical and technical, any test results which are grossly abnormal.
- To telephone any abnormal results, inputting appropriate comments into the laboratory computer system.
- To prioritise specimen analysis with respect to urgency and specimen size, according to departmental protocols.
