Head Medical have rare rotational opportunities within General Medicine/ Emergency Medicine suited to post foundation doctors located South of Sydney!

  • Enjoy great surf beaches, amazing bushwalks, local culture and food, wine and arts festivals.

  • General Medicine and Emergency Medicine rotations

  • Train services operate at regular intervals from Sydney.

  • A variety of fantastic restaurants, great shopping, acclaimed wineries, exciting attractions, national parks, and all with a warm and temperate climate.

  • Salary $97,993 -$110,986 per annum (depending on experience)

The Role

These unique opportunities will allow you to obtain exposure across both Emergency and General Medicine.  You will join a supportive multidisciplinary team and gain exposure to a diverse caseload.

Shoalhaven Hospital is the main acute care hospital for the Shoalhaven region providing emergency care, medical, surgical and orthopaedic services.  Shoalhaven Hospital has an Intensive Care Unit focusing on high dependency and coronary patients, Children’s Ward and Maternity Unit as well as a purpose-built regional Cancer Care Centre and sub-acute Mental Health Unit. The Shoalhaven region is one of New South Wales fastest growing areas with over 5,000 new residents making the move every year. 

Wollongong Hospital is the Illawarra and Shoalhaven’s major referral and teaching hospital and has a bed base of more than 500 beds.  The campus, which incorporates the Illawarra Regional Cancer Care Centre, provides a comprehensive range of inpatient, outpatient and community-based services.
 

The Location


Relax on white sand beaches all along the stunning coastline. Or indulge in outdoor activities like the excellent snorkelling and diving in a magical aquatic reserve, iconic surf breaks, a tranquil lake and river where you can test your SUP or kayaking skills, or a batch of activities that will get your adrenaline flowing.

The area is bordered by the mountains, coastal plains and over 100 magnificent beaches. This beautiful natural environment plays a central role in the quality of life of the local community. Commute times are short; and when you’re not at work, you can relax on some of the country’s best beaches! Visit the beautiful beaches of Jervis Bay, explore the stunning coastal rainforests of Kangaroo Valley and outdoor adventure activities or enjoy the local dining – all contributing to a perfect work-life balance.
