Job Description: As a PICU Nurse, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality, specialized care to critically ill children and adolescents. Working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals, you will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care plans tailored to meet the unique needs of each patient. Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing expert nursing care to critically ill paediatric patients in the PICU
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to changes in their condition
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborating with physicians, respiratory therapists, and other specialists to ensure comprehensive care delivery
- Supporting patients and their families through difficult times with empathy and compassion
- Participating in ongoing education and training to enhance your skills and knowledge in paediatric critical care
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse qualification with current registration in the UK
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a PICU setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Eligibility for AHPRA Registration
