Our client is looking for a General Practitioner to join their well-established clinic in Northern Queensland.
They are looking for full-time GP to work 40 hours per week. The hours of work will be rota'd between 7am – 6pm Monday – Friday, 8am-2pm Saturday and 8 am – 1pm Sunday with no on call requirement. The early and later evening shifts will be rota’d and the weekend shifts will be on a rotating rota of 1 weekend in every 4/5 weeks.

The Practice
The practice is currently made up of 2 full time Doctors, 1 part time Doctor, 3 part time registrars and 1 intern and they are looking to recruit a further doctor to help keep up with patient demand. You will be supported by a team of 3 Reception staff, 2 nurses, a practice manager, nurse manager and finance officer.
The clinic is a modern air-conditioned building with disability access, pathology onsite, medical imaging onsite and a large emergency room. Additional services include visiting audiologist, podiatrist, NDIS, dental prosthetics, Orthopaedic Surgeon, Imaging Onsite and Pathology.
Location
The clinic is located in the town of Ingham, North QLD. Ingham is a rural centre towards the southern end of the Wet Tropics World Heritage area. Locals and visitors enjoy a diverse array of natural attractions and community activities.Camping, bushwalking, bird watching and fishing are all popular past-times, with several national parks of worldwide acclaim nearby – Hinchinbrook Island (Australia’s biggest island National Park), the Great Barrier Reef (a World Heritage site), Wallaman Falls (Australia’s highest waterfall) and Tyto Wetlands are just a few of the many locations of interest.
A ‘sugar town’ on the Bruce Highway, 115 kilometres north of Townsville, our population is approximately 10,900. We are home to the longest jetty (5.75 kilometres) in the southern hemisphere and Queensland’s largest sugar mill. Ingham holds an annual Italian Festival and Maraka Festival, a rodeo and also has many sporting and community groups. The town has two supermarkets, a number of specialty stores, two high schools (one private, one public), several primary schools (including one private), a library and a cinema.
