Head Medical is seeking Emergency Medicine Doctors to join the highly regarded Emergency Department at Launceston General Hospital in Tasmania.

• Northern Tasmania's major referral centre, managing approximately 45,000 presentations annually
• Vibrant city with easy access to beaches, mountains, wineries and national parks
• 5 hours of protected teaching each week, plus exam preparation support
• Salary: AUD $138,978–$194,675 (commensurate with experience)
• February 2027 commencement (12–24 month contracts available)
This opportunity is suited to doctors who have completed Foundation Training and gained Emergency Medicine experience, including ACCS trainees, Emergency Medicine trainees, Clinical Fellows, and Middle Grade doctors.
The Role
Join the team at Launceston General Hospital, a 43-bed Emergency Department and Northern Tasmania's major referral centre. Accredited for 24 months of ACEM training, the department provides excellent clinical exposure across trauma, paediatrics, mental health, and complex medical emergencies, supported by an experienced FACEM team. With direct consultant supervision, structured teaching, exam preparation support, and opportunities to pursue special interests, this is an excellent environment in which to develop your Emergency Medicine career in Australia.
