- Salary $97,432 -$103,336 AUD per annum ( depending on experience)
- 12 month contract
The Hospital
Royal Darwin Hospital (RDH) is a 345 bed tertiary hospital that serves a population of over 142,000 in a catchment including urban communities, regional hospitals and remote Aboriginal communities. The hospital provides a broad range of referral services in all specialty areas to the Darwin urban population as well as serving the Top End of the NT, Western Australia and South-East Asia. RDH is the largest teaching hospital in the NT and is also recognised as Australia's National Critical Care and Trauma Response Centre (NCCTRC). Palmerston Regional Hospital is a satellite campus providing lower acuity elective surgical services.
You will work as part of a team which includes 38 Emergency Medicine Consultants, 38 Registrars and 22 SHO’s. This is a great opportunity to join an established team with an emphasis on educational and professional development including ward rounds and journal clubs with the opportunity to gain exposure to indigenous health, unique retrieval presentations, jelly fish stings and snake bites.
