Consultant Urologist - Scotland
An exciting opportunity is available for a Consultant Urologist to join an existing team working in a fantastic district general hospital in Scotland. This is an ideal place for people who enjoy a quieter lifestyle and easy access to brilliant outdoor pursuits such as hill-walking and mountain biking. With great schools and exceptionally low crime rates this is a wonderful place to raise a family too.
The Urology Department provide a core elective and emergency service to the region, with out-patient and cystoscopy services also provided at a local community hospital. There are established clinics in andrology and facilities are available for flow studies and transrectal ultrasound and prostate biopsy.
There is some flexibility with the Consultant job plan and we would be open to discussion on this, the intention is to offer the job on an 11 PA contract, with the current on call commitment at 1 in 2 from 8am Monday to 5pm Friday, which attracts an 8% availability supplement. There will be a requirement to take part in supervision and training of medical students, junior doctors and other staff.
You will be rewarded with an excellent NHS salary and benefits package, plus relocation assistance, and accommodation (single) can be provided for the first 12 weeks. GMC registration and a licence to practise is essential, it may be possible to provide Tier 2 visa sponsorship so please get in touch if this would be required. For the substantive position you must be on the GMC Specialist register.
Please contact Karen Diamond for further information and to discuss your suitability or apply with a current CV to be considered.
