Opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in managing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) for a busy private outpatient clinic located in Perth, Western Australia.

The Role
Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist with experience in / knowledge of managing Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD).

The patient mix is varied but there is a large percentage of referrals for managing ADHD, however the referrals are varied. Practitioner is able to choose which referrals/patients suit them and therefore can select a patient population that they are most suited to.

This position would be ideal for a dynamic psychiatrist who wishes to carve out a career in the private sector with a good work-life balance. Work hours can be decided by the candidate to some degree – eg 5 days x 8 hours versus 3 days x 12 hours.

There is no on-call or after-hours work.

Full administrative support provided.

The Clinic is located in an up-market area and is owned by two local Consultant Psychiatrists. You will be required to operate relatively independently however close supervision/collegiate support will be available.

Requirements
Applicants should be registered (or eligible for registration) as a specialist with the Medical Board of Australia and be a Fellow of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists (FRANZCP) or equivalent as an overseas trained specialist who has completed their training in either the UK, Ireland, Canada, USA (ABPN certified) or New Zealand.

  • 3 years Consultant/Specialist level work experience.
  • A minimum of 6 months in a formal training post in Child and Adolescent psychiatry in your basic or advanced training (if not FRANZCP).

We have a dedicated Registration Team who seamlessly manage all aspects of your regulatory and work visa applications after you accept a suitable job offer.  This includes exemption requests for travel to Australia due to current border closures in some states.  Our aim is to get you ready to start work within agreed timeframes and with minimal hassle to you or your new employer.
