The Role
Join a dedicated team of Paediatric Specialists at Dubbo Health Service providing a full range of general paediatric care. This is a great opportunity to practise at the highest level while working in a modern, purpose-built environment and enjoying a lifestyle that gives you time back for yourself.
- Work in a $250M redeveloped hospital (2021) with cutting-edge facilities.
- Be part of a collegiate, well-respected team with strong statewide networks.
- Mix of outpatient clinics, inpatient ward rounds, and on-call responsibilities (shared roster).
- Oversee and mentor junior medical staff, contributing to training for Registrars and Junior Medical Officers.
- Engage in quality improvement, departmental planning, and multidisciplinary collaboration.
Requirements
- Eligible applicants will hold FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent international qualifications, such as CCT in Paediatric Medicine (UK), CSCST in Paediatric Medicine (Ireland), or Board Certification in Paediatric Medicine (USA), with completion of accredited specialist training programmes in their respective countries.
- Eligibility for specialist registration with AHPRA
- Strong leadership skills within a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Commitment to teaching, supervision, and professional development.
- Ability to manage a busy outpatient clinic with a variety of complex cases.
- Willingness to participate in the on-call roster and outreach clinics.
