The Role

As a Consultant Obstetrician & Gynaecologist at Bathurst Health Service, you’ll play a key role in providing high-quality inpatient and outpatient care. The Hospital

Bathurst Health Service is a modern, well-equipped regional hospital providing a comprehensive range of services to the community. Maternity services are a cornerstone of the hospital, with excellent support from allied health and community programmes.

Academic and research opportunities are available through the co-located Western Sydney University Clinical School, and a private hospital in Bathurst provides opportunities for private endoscopy lists

To apply, you must:

  • Hold registration (or be eligible for registration) with the Medical Board of Australia as a Specialist in Obstetrics & Gynaecology
  • Be a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRANZCOG), or an overseas-trained specialist with equivalent qualifications (UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, or New Zealand)

Bathurst is a prosperous and rapidly growing regional centre. The region is conveniently located with effective transport links to Sydney and Canberra.

What Head Medical can do for you

Arranging a position overseas is very exciting, but we understand that it can also be daunting and time consuming. We’re the UK’s specialist in international medical recruitment and we’ve helped many Doctors relocate since we first started out in 2008 (you can read what people have said about working with us on our testimonials page). We know it’s important to balance career opportunities with lifestyle and we’ll talk through your plans and will get to know you to make sure we find the right role in the right location.  Once we have secured a job for you, we’ll manage the Medical Registration and Visa application process and support you (and your family) with the relocation itself.
